![]() Having performed with artists such as Will Hoge and Alexa Ray Joel, and throughout the Northeast at regular showcases at venues which include the Bitter End and Piano's in New York City NY, Johnny Ds and the Paradise in Boston MA, Toads Place in New Haven CT, and Grape Street in Philadelphia PA, Seth Adam and his band have put together a show of amazing energy. The shows continue to convert the most unattached, jaded listener into believers with liberal doses of brawny electric guitar and sensitive acoustic forays, which are flooded with sweat and emotion. It is no wonder that Seth Adam's performance recently caused FoxNews.com's Roger Friedman to proclaim, "Adam's appearance last night in New York was a rock revelation. The Connecticut kid may be rock's next Matchbox Twenty, or more. marykate o'neilMarykate's skillful melodies and delicate voice are veritable pearls of sweetness. Deeply authentic and original, Marykate has crafted a style with humor and irony intact anchored in daily life. 4 stars - Rolling Stone If Elvis Costello and Astrid Gilberto swapped spit in another time dimension, singer/guitarist Marykate O'Neil would be the musical spawn of their eros. -- CMJ Essential Listen Marykate O'Neil is an artist with a sweet voice, biting and witty lyrics, and folk pop arrangements --- witty angsty goodness. venus 1-800-damn right! - the record sparkles with classic touches and Marykate's winning vocals are full of tenderness and humor throughout. To paraphrase XTC's Andy Partridge: 'It's really super, Supergirl'. Performing Songwriter Scott RocksLynryd Skynyrd once sang about a truck drivin man who got by on coffee, booger sugar, and the floozies waiting for him at every stop. Scott Rocks is a different kind of truck drivn man. Like the big rig operator Skynyrd sang of, Rocks makes his living on the highways. But hes also a gifted singer blessed with a menacing baritone and a steely tenor. And the south-Jersey based musician composes infectious, spaced-out songs inspired by the strange mix of bands youll hear spinning in Rocks cab at any given time: the Doors, Soundtrack of Our Lives, Slayer, Guided By Voices, and the Cars. Hes a kick-ass guitar player, too. A triple threat, to be sure. Frank VielePut simply, a Frank Viele show is a thinking man's party where all the thoughts are good ones and, even better, you can dance to them. I've seen Frank Viele and The Manhattan Project twice now and, both shows, no one in the audience needed to be told to get up and dance; dancing is just the natural human reaction to the music coming from the stage. Viele's tunes are so alive, the melodic and intricate vocal lines so engaging, they open a door for an audience to dance on in, have a dialogue with the band, and become quickly en rapt as they hear a story or two. Kinkade said to Falzone, " I shall take your songs and place hiphoppity beats behind them to make them phat!" Just as he said that the sky opened up and dozens of CDs with 7 or 8 hot new "slamming" trax fell upon the two. So now Mike plays Acoustic/Funk/Indie/Sould music to whoever will listen. Seems to be workin out. He is currently working with grammy winning producer Mike Mangini (Joss Stone) and touring the US. You can find his 2006 release "Fairview" on itunes. ![]() Now 19 years of age, Tucker has been composing songs that are lyrically and structurally mature beyond his years. His ballads and rockers touch on romance and love with slight touches of humor. His melodies and lyrics are reminiscent of the joys and heartbreak of romantic relationships which all of us have experienced in our lives. His keen observations also include social commentary, and while he may see the world through a teenager’s eyes, his clever phrasing and lyrics convey an intelligence and maturity shared by many established songwriters. |
